Who’s Behind the Red Door?

I can’t help but laugh at Nanny Pelosi’s recent attempt to rally up the troops for Obama’s big government takeover of our health care system. The speaker urged the members of congress to back Obama’s health care bill even if it costs their political careers. I sometimes wonder if the elevator goes all the way to the top on this woman! She’s aware that the majority of the people across the country reject this legislation, yet she is so bent on forcing it down the throats of the American people, that she exhorts members of congress to support it regardless.

So why is she so hell bent on passing this bill? "We're not here just to self-perpetuate our service in Congress," she claimed. "We're here to do the job for the American people." How is she doing her job for the American people if Sixty-one percent of the people (61%) say Congress should drop health care reform and focus on more immediate ways to improve the economy and create jobs? It is also interesting to note that 66% of Democrats think Congress should pass health care reform before the November elections while eighty percent (80%) of Republicans and 59% of unaffiliated say it’s better to wait until voters select a new Congress. Makes you think, doesn’t it? Something is certainly wrong if you really think about it! What’s the big rush? After all, this bill would be effective incrementally starting in 2012! http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/february_2010/61_say_congress_should_start_all_over_again_on_health_care

Nanny Pelosi also mentioned that "Time is up; we really have to go forth." Bottom line is, after November, you can kiss this entitlement program bill goodbye, she knows it and she’s willing to give up Democratic majority in congress to get this done, but why? Is Nanny Pelosi, President Obama and their liberal friends really so concerned about the fictitious “46 million uninsured” Americans, that they are willing to kamikaze this bill and commit political seppuku? Could special interest groups be behind this mess?

The AFL-CIO union movement is fighting for this health care plan! “mobilizing a 1-million-member health care mobilization team working with a broad alliance of grassroots organizations to win progressive reform and give millions more union members the information and tools to become active players and health care voters.” as evident by this website http://www.aflcio.org/issues/healthcare/

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka also released this statement on December 17th 2009:
“The labor movement has been fighting for health care for nearly 100 years and we are not about to stop fighting now, when it really matters. But for this health care bill to be worthy of the support of working men and women, substantial changes must be made. The AFL-CIO intends to fight on behalf of all working families to make those changes and win health care reform that is deserving of the name. The absolute refusal of Republicans in the Senate to support health care reform and the hijacking of the bill by defenders of the insurance industry have brought us a Senate bill that is inadequate: It is too kind to the insurance industry. Genuine health care reform must bring down health costs, hold insurance companies accountable, assure that Americans can get the health care they need and be financed fairly. • That's why we are championing a public health insurance option: It is the way to break the stranglehold of the insurance industry over consumers that has led to double digit premium increases virtually every year. • Employers must pay their fair share. • And the benefits of hard-working Americans cannot be taxed to pay for health care reform--that's no way to rein in insurance companies and it's the wrong way to pay for health care reform. Those are the changes for which we will be fighting in the coming days. The Senate bill does some good things: It will provide health insurance to 30 million more Americans and provide subsidies to low income individuals and families. Benefits will have to meet minimum standards and insurance companies will no longer be able to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions or impose lifetime or unreasonable annual limits. The bill also includes some relief for plans with early retirees as well as delivery system reforms that may lead to lower costs over the long haul. And Senate leaders have made a commitment to close the Medicare prescription drugs donut hole which is so costly to seniors. But because it bends toward the insurance industry, the Senate bill will not check costs in the short term, and its financing asks working people and the country to pay the price, even as benefits are cut. The House bill is the model for genuine health care reform. Working people cannot accept anything less than real reform.”
Pass the tissues please, cue the violins. Gosh, this guy really cares about the low income families and the elderly! Obviously, this statement has nothing to do with the union members paying his salary or voting him out of his job, should he fail to act and succeed on their behalf. Who is he kidding? Does he really wants us to believe that he cares about us "little ignorant and stupid" peons? I think not! But, he is not the only union “boss” engaged in this fight.

The SEIU (Service Employees International Union) and its president Andy Stern, one of Obama’s many left wing supporters and one of labor's most powerful figures today, certainly supports this bill. He commented on December 21st, 2009 about the Senate's health care bill passage, that "for working Americans, this vote signals progress.” Previously he declared regarding his expectations for the Obama presidency, according to a WSJ article on December 6th, 2008: "I expect nothing less than what he said he was going to do, and we should hold him accountable." This is no empty warning; organized labor invested $450 million to get Democrats elected. SEIU and Mr. Stern was the biggest contributor in the 2008 election with $85 million. The SEIU also set aside an additional $10 million in emergency funds to get people un-elected if necessary. "We would like to make sure people appreciate that we take them at their word and when they don't live up to their word there should be consequences." Andy Stern added. Consequences, what does he have in mind? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122852244367484311.html

What do labor Unions have to gain from a governmental mandated national health care? Why would Andy Stern warn our elected officials about “consequences”, should his pre-approved policies not be implemented?

According to AFL-CIO, “Unions have built a national standard of comprehensive health care benefits funded by employers. As the cost of health care spins out of control, businesses that offer health care are hobbled in a global marketplace and also are at a competitive disadvantage here at home. Today’s broken system drags down the American economy. And that hurts everyone. In addition, health care costs are increasingly the crux of many union negotiations, and union members say they simply can’t continue to take on increased costs.”

Cue the violins again, please and put on your galoshes because it’s going to get sticky! These guys want us to believe they care about businesses being at a disadvantage? Ok… moving on. “…union members… can’t continue to take the increased costs”, but… they have “comprehensive health care benefits funded by employers”? I don’t get it, who pays for union members health insurance, employers or members? See why you need galoshes?

Anyway, someone needs to pay for the insurance that they can’t afford, so… does that suggest free health insurance to the millions of Union Members who already have insurance? Not so fast, but “Big Labor” did hammer out behind closed doors, a sweetheart deal on January 14th, 2010 with President Obama and congressional Democrats, where they agreed to exempt union workers from the “Cadillac tax” on high-cost health-care plans until 2018. This will save union employees at least $60 billion over the years involved, while others won't be as lucky as they'll have to cough up almost $90 billion.

Paul Krugman an American economist, columnist, author and Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, Centenary Professor at the London School of Economics, an op-ed columnist for The New York Times, and left wing progressive advocate, while calling the legislation "a seriously flawed bill we'll spend years if not decades fixing," applauded it as "an awesome achievement." "This is a good bill... And there are going to be many additional steps that will be necessary along the way, but all of us are committed to following in those steps," mentioned the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, the primary Democratic co-sponsor of the bill.

These comments imply that it is best to pass this flawed bill now and iron out the details later and although union workers might not qualify under this proposed plan, it does not mean that they will not qualify for it later by simply amending it while you and I, who are satisfied with our current plan and intend on keeping it, will certainly see an increase on our share of taxes in order to pay for union members health insurance who already have it and if you happen to have a so called “Cadillac” plan because you want the best for your family, you really in for it!

This really isn’t about the fictitious 46 million or 30 million un-insured Americans (about 10 million of them illegal immigrants, 18 million making in excess of $50k annually) this is not about the low-income family or the seniors not being able to afford insurance, this is not about people not being covered for pre-existing conditions, and it’s not about increasing health care coverage rate hikes or the “evil” health insurance companies making a whopping profit of 3.6% (unacceptable to any other business), because these guys really don’t give a hoot about us! This is about a $450 million “debt” to labor unions, also known as “pay-back”. This is the real motivator in getting this bill passed by this administration before November 2010. I fail to understand why nobody has taken the time to connect the proverbial dots here! But the real question here is: who is running this country after all, the people, through their elected officials or the labor unions?

Forget what “we the people” want or a government “for the people, by the people”. Our elected officials have made this crystal clear. They have opted to ram this piece of unconstitutional legislation and the largest welfare entitlement program ever down our throats at all costs, while jeopardizing their political careers, because labor unions have made it obvious that if they don’t comply with their mandates, there would be “consequences” putting them in full control of our country and our lives.

Our government hold more fear for the unions, their “bosses” and many other special interest groups that have not been discussed here, than the people who elected them. By their actions they have revealed to have no respect for the constitution, which they swore to uphold, this is truly scary but expected! However, we will soon have our voices heard loud and clear and we will show them who is truly in charge. They are wolves posing as sheep, claiming to care for the poor and disenfranchised fighting for you and me while only concerned about their own selves! We are and always will be unmovable and will never be intimidated by bullies pushing agendas for personal gains on the majority, while benefiting the few whilst ignoring the constitution.

Amended on March 5th, 2010 by publisher;

So, yesterday I ended up ticking off Big Labor Unions and half of our government, today I’ll take it a step further and tick off ever bigger potatoes, but first I’d like to make a disclaimer; when we hear a conspiracy theory, we tend to back off and dismiss it, however we must understand exactly what a conspiracy theory really is; it’s a theory, an hypothesis or speculation of a scheme or plan by one or more parties to achieve a goal under total secrecy that cannot be proved accurate unless someone involved drops the ball and somehow those who are not involved finds out; somewhat akin to the evolutionary theory, it cannot be proved absolutely factual but most people accept it, thus becoming true. With that said, here is a conspiracy theory that will most definitely scare the pants out of you. It is long therefore give your-self some time to watch it, it’s worth it. This video is called “The Obama Deception” and connects our presidents from Kennedy to Obama to the allusive Bilderberg Group. For all the left wing Obama supporters out there who believe he is beyond reproach, I have news for you, “the new boss is the same as the old boss”.
