To the anonymous contributor who left the following comment: "Perhaps if you were a citizen versus an observer it would hold more clout. Just a thought."

This is an amazing and astute observation on your part and you are correct. I was not born in this great country, indeed I am an observer. As a matter of fact, I have observed many political regimes in my forty five years of life. You see, up until the age of nine, my family and I lived under a fascist right wing big government dictatorship. I remember my mother afraid of being caught by the secret police of the country I was born in, simply because her faith, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly was outlawed. I also recollect my elder brother who is an active democratic socialist, running to another country so that he did not have to participate in a senseless colonial war that he did not believe in.

So the only clout that I hope this blog might have, is for those who were fortunate enough to have been natural born citizens to take my first hand experience with “Big Government” from both sides of the political spectrum and put an end to this ever increasing government that just might take away the freedoms that we all hold dear. My blog is derived from the extreme love, respect and appreciation for the constitution of this great nation we live in. This constitution have been upheld and defended for more than two hundred years, mostly by immigrants just like me or descendants of immigrants just like you, who fought and some paid the ultimate price so that both you and I might have the freedom to sit at our computers and critique each other and our government. My friend, some are Americans by fate, others by choice. I chose to be the latter.

To the reader who contributed with the following comment to the “How Ironic” post: “You sound like one racist idiot”.

Thank you for your highly impressive journalistic skills, you are indeed a scholastically sophisticated anonymous individual who has set this un-intellectual blogger straight. Please, interpret the posts and pin-point for me where exactly the racist remarks are to be found, as we want to eliminate any suggestion of bigotry or xenophobia. I trust that you are a constitutional devotee, who strongly accepts and respects the constitution including, but not limited to the first amendment, which I am certain you’re aware, prohibits congress from making laws "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press and not an individual who aspires to socialistic ideologies who would rather intern this blogger behind bars simply because he disagrees with its government, or due to lack of intellectual factual reasoning you simply rely on invectiveness as you did!

According to the Encarta Dictionary this is the meaning of the words you used to describe me.

Racist: Somebody who hates others who are not of his or her own race.

Idiot: An offensive term that deliberately insults somebody’s intelligence

First Amendment to the United States Constitution

  1. Usually when people mention the word 'citizen' its usually done in response to compelling you to do something against your own will. Its like saying 'good citizens' support national health care. Its like strapping an identity to you to say a citizen does XYZ and you are a citizen so the logic follows you must also do XYZ thing. I am a citizen but that status does not obligate me to do anything else other than to peacefully co-exist with my fellow citizens.
