Constitutional Assaults

Religion Under Attack!

Posted March 18th 2010 by No Apology Accepted

Once again our 1st Amendment rights are under attack and once more in California. In this case a Bible group must petition the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California for a conditional use permit to gather in a private home.
The Bill of Rights 1st Amendment clearly states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble…” The 14th Amendment Section 1 also states that “… no State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge (deprive) the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States…”
This is clearly a constitutional infringement on the part of the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California. The supreme law of the Country is absolutely clear that religious and spiritual groups have absolute, unconditional, unquestionable freedom, devoid of restrictions to assemble and convene regardless of numbers; and no government agency Federal, State or Local should require them by law or otherwise, to petition, appeal or ask for permission by means of a permit, an official document or certificate to congregate or meet in private or in public. Anytime an application or request is filed for permission from a governmental agency or otherwise for the ability to assemble as a religious group and for religious purposes, said agency may deny and refuse the petition which is therefore unconstitutional and illegal, making such requirement unlawful and criminal by default.

More Religion Under Attack!

Most of us, including myself go about our daily lives hoping that the status quo remain constant. We spend the day laboring to provide for our families. After a long day, we come home to just sit back and relax preferring not to be bothered with what is going on behind the scenes in Washington, after all we trust our Government to do their paramount to uphold the lifestyle that we have, after all that is the motive to why we hired them. However my friends, all is not right as we’d like to believe and we should not close our eyes or burry our heads in the sand. We must be conscious on what is happening in our beloved country.

Those of you who are acquainted with me, are well aware of how out-spoken I am regarding “Big Government”. I am so with reason, and that is my experience with “Big Government” as I have explained in my “Comments” page.

I am not religious, it is my personal choice not to believe in “Organized” religion and I am indeed a strong believer in the absolute separation of church and state. However, I am a staunch supporter of freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly. As a consequence of such, whenever I hear that these freedoms are being breeched, even if only temporarily, I become very concerned! Take the following story reported by Fox News reporter Diane Macedo on February, 10th 2010.

Imagine getting arrested for just striking up a conversation about religion in public.

That’s what happened to California resident Matthew Snatchko in 2006 when the youth pastor initiated a conversation about God with three shoppers at the Roseville Galleria mall.

The women gave Snatchko permission to broach the subject, but a nearby store employee said they "looked nervous," so he ordered the evangelist to leave. After Snatchko refused, mall security arrested him.

"He was put in handcuffs and hauled down to the mall’s security station and later booked at the local jail," said Snatchko’s attorney Matthew McReynolds of the Pacific Justice Institute, a legal defense organization specializing in the defense of religious freedom.

Snatchko was later released and never charged with a crime, but he and the Justice Institute decided to challenge the constitutionality of Roseville Galleria's restrictions on conversations about topics such as religion and politics.

This may well be an example of over-zealous mall security guards and law enforcement officers, yet “In 2008, a California superior court ruled that the mall's ban on controversial conversations with strangers didn’t violate freedom of speech.”

It’s California, one of the most liberal states in the nation and a model for progressivism and liberalism, these ideologies have shown that like their well accepted philosophers and leaders, such as Mao Tse Tung and Che Guevara do not want us to express our faith as we choose, freedom of speech and assembly is absolutely intolerable, save for state sponsored events.

You may reply: “Wait a second, I’m a liberal and I do not subscribe to Mao’s or Che’s ideologies.” Well, you might not, but that is the progressive and liberal agenda. Both progressivism and socialism champion the prerogatives of the state over the prerogatives of the individual. Woodrow Wilson himself made this connection very plain in a revealing essay he wrote in 1887 called “Socialism and Democracy.” Wilson begins this essay by defining socialism, explaining that it stands for unfettered state power, which trumps any notion of individual rights. It “proposes that all idea of a limitation of public authority by individual rights be put out of view,” Wilson wrote, “that no line can be drawn between private and public affairs which the State may not cross at will.” After laying out this definition of socialism, Wilson explains that he finds nothing wrong with it in principle, since it was merely the logical extension of genuine democratic theory. It gives all power to the people, in their collective capacity, to carry out their will through the exercise of governmental power, unlimited by any undemocratic idea like individual rights. He elaborated:

“In fundamental theory socialism and democracy are almost if not quite one and the same. They both rest at bottom upon the absolute right of the community to determine its own destiny and that of its members. Limits of wisdom and convenience to the public control there may be: limits of principle there are, upon strict analysis, none.” So socialism and progressivism ideologies are fundamentally one and the same.

Mao Tse Tung was a socialist/communist and had 60,000,000 (million) people murdered in China simply because they did not agree with their government or were of, (get this) no use to the “community”. This guy puts Adolph Hitler to shame (not to diminish his atrocities)! Che Guevara, who co-founded a regime that jailed more of its subjects than did Stalin's and murdered more its subjects in its first three years in power than did Hitler's in its first six. In 1959, with the help of Soviet GRU agents, the man celebrated on T-shirts worn by our liberal youth, helped found, train and indoctrinate Cuba's secret police. In 1957 this worldwide symbol of “'anti-imperialism” (who often signed his letters as “Stalin II”) appalled some of his fellow Cuban rebels by applauding the Soviet invasion of Hungary with its wholesale slaughter of Hungarian freedom-fighting guerrillas. All through the horrifying Soviet massacre, Che dutifully parroted the Soviet script that the workers, peasants and college kids battling Russian tanks in Budapest with small arms and Molotov cocktails were all: "Fascists and CIA agents!” who all deserved prompt execution. Makes me want to go out and buy a Mao or Che T-shirt!

Socialism (democratic/progressivism or not), is definitely not the propaganda that they want us to believe in, feed us with with gusto and oh so many blindly like sheep led to the slaughter accept without reservation. Socialism/progressivism is big government having absolute control of the people and business, for the so called betterment of the community. Socialism/ progressivism is not equivalent to equality and freedom as we are all led to believe. Socialism/progressivism is oppression at it very best.

Andy Stern president of SEIU and number one visitor to the White House, said: “What we're working towards is building a global organization, because — workers of the world unite, it's not just a slogan anymore, it's a way we're going to have to do our work.” He also said: We're trying to use the power of persuasion and if that doesn't work, we're gonna use the persuasion of power because there are governments and there are opportunities to change laws that affect these companies.”

“Workers of the world unite”. Just in case you’re not aware, this is a socialist slogan used worldwide, I personally have heard it many times, years ago, on May 1st celebrations (workers day).

Now, looking at all the other socialistic associations to the current President, George Soros, Anita Dunn, Ron Bloom, John Holdren, Van Jones, Mark Lloyd, Cass Sunstein, Hillary Clinton to just name a few, one has to wonder, what is really going on behind the closed doors of the White House.

Should you fail to identify with Mao’s, Che’s or any other socialistic ideology, I urge to stay alert, informed and dynamic on the behavior of our government, it is your right as an American, not because your anti-Obama, not because you want him to fail, not because of any disparage that they might cast at you, but purely because you love your family, your freedoms and our country. They can justly be "days away from fundamentally changing" our beloved country and trampling on the constitution all the while taking away your freedoms including but not limited to speech, religion or assembly, should you fail. And if for one split second you assume that it cannot be done, think again!

Bellow are just a couple of stories that you may find worth reading!
