Barack Obama in his nationally televised State of the Union Address, on January 27th 2010 said:
“To close that credibility gap we must take action on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue to end the out sized influence of lobbyists; to do our work openly; and to give our people the government they deserve... That’s what I came to Washington to do. That’s why – for the first time in history – my Administration posts our White House visitors online. And that’s why we’ve excluded lobbyists from policy-making jobs or seats on federal boards and commissions.”
Well... well... well. I wonder why the liberal media, in all its glorified self righteousness has not jumped on this head first. After all, had these been the words of a conservative president they surely would have ripped him apart for telling flat out lies, like this to congress and the American people. What lies you're asking? Well my friend, allow me to give you the disparaging news that this White House administration is all but void of lobbyists.
Shall we start with Mr. William Lynn, serving in the Pentagon, assigned by Obama as the Deputy Defense Secretary. Now, before working for the President, William Lynn was, guess what? You're right! A lobbyist for none other than defense contractor Raytheon, where he was a senior executive.
Now, one would say, ok somebody slipped through the cracks, give the man a break, what's the big deal! Well my friends it's not just Mr. Lynn.
